Shannon August, CFA
Founder AAREA Private Lending, Co-Founder CAPL
- Shannon August has worked in the private mortgage industry since 2008, with experience in origination, lending, capital raising, mortgage administration, and mortgage enforcement.
- She founded AAREA Private Lending in 2012, a platform for mortgage investors that also provides comprehensive mortgage administration services to private lenders.
- At CAPL, Shannon applies her industry knowledge and communication skills to enhance member engagement and contribute to the association’s efforts.
- As part of the founding leadership, she supports a proactive stance on industry developments and ensures communications and services meet the diverse needs of its members effectively.
- A CFA Charterholder, Shannon holds a BBA in Finance from Simon Fraser University. Committed to lifelong learning, she is currently a CPA Candidate.
- She is committed to community and professional development, having previously served as a Forum Champion with the Entrepreneurs’ Organization and as a mentor with Futurpreneur Canada and the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women.
